Special collection

Today, the second collection will be taken up for assisted parishes. Please give generously.

Next Sunday is the Feast of the Presentation (Candlemas Day) and also the World Day of Consecrated Life.

Reconciliation and Healing Service

2.30pm on Sunday 9th February at St Columbkille's Chapel Hall, Kirkwood Street, Rutherglen G73 2NP. Speakers: Rev. Crombie and Joe Livingston. Theme: The Very Real Dangers of the New Age. Confession, prayer ministry, music, tea and coffee. All welcome.

Newman Association

Receptive Ecumenism: a case study in Maryhill - A presentation by Fr Jim Lawlor and Rev Stuart Matthew. The Parish Hall, Immaculate Conception Church, 2049 Maryhill Road, Glasgow, G20 0AA at 7.30pm on Thursday 6th February 2025. All welcome. Refreshments provided

Relics of St. Andrew, St. Columba, and St. Margaret (of Scotland) at the Cathedral, then Castlemilk (only dates in Glasgow Archdiocese)

  • Tuesday 28 January at 9.30am until 12 noon: Welcome and Veneration (at St Margaret Mary’s) with Votive Mass at 10am (transfer of Relics later in the day to St Bartholomew’s)
  • Wednesday 29 January at 9am until 12noon with Mass at 9.30am (at St Bartholomew’s) - Thursday 30 January (various)
  • Friday 31 January before and after 9.30am Mass at St Bartholomew’s (transfer of Relics to St Margaret Mary’s)
  • Saturday 1 February Veneration: 4- 7pm with Mass at 6pm at St Margaret Mary’s)
  • Sunday 2 February Veneration before and after 9.30am Mass (at St Margaret Mary’s) Veneration before and after 11.30am Mass (at St Bartholomew’s). Veneration 4- 6pm with Mass at 5pm (at St Bartholomew’s). This generous Initiative has been arranged by Knights of St Columba (visit KSC.org.uk)

Christmas Crib

All donations put in the angel at the crib will go to St. Margaret’s Children and Family Care Society. Please give as much as you can to help with the work they do.
