WEEKLY BULLETIN – 22nd FEBRUARY 2026 (1st SUNDAY IN LENT)
PLEASE NOTE THE SECOND COLLECTION WILL BE TAKEN UP FOR SICK AND RETIRED PRIESTS DURING LENT. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS will be held every Wednesday morning at 9.30am during Lent. Please try and come along. If you can’t come to the Stations why not try and come to 10am Mass.
IMPORTANT: From Tues to Fri. 24th-27th there will be Liturgy of the Word with Communion, and also from Mon. to Fri. 2nd -6th March. Mass will be as usual on Sat. and Sun.
SCIAF WEE BOXES: Please make sure you take a SCIAF Box and try to fill it during Lent to help with the great work they do in the Missions. Please ask the passkeepers for one.
Volunteers Wanted: The safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults who participate in the life of the Church is a top priority for the Archdiocese. It is for that reason our volunteers are trained in Safeguarding before they undertake any work with children and/or protected adults. Each Diocese has specially trained individuals who provide this training.
The Archdiocese has around 2,500 tier 1 and tier 2 volunteers, plus many others who may also require training in the future.
This is an ever-evolving situation with new volunteers coming on board, all of whom require training before beginning in their Parish role. These volunteers are essential to the life of each Parish. We are therefore looking to expand our cohort of trainers and hope for volunteers to join our training team to help run courses throughout the year.
Training and support are provided to all volunteer trainers. There are a range of courses delivered and they are done both in person and using Zoom. We urgently require the assistance of volunteers who have training experience either in their current or previous roles. NEW MASS ROTAS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE BACK OF THE CHURCH FOR ALL READERS AND PASSKEEPERS. PLEASE TAKE ONE.
ABBA’S VINEYARD: Adoration night. Come and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, with a Lenten theme. The evening also includes the opportunity for Confession, Mass and dinner.
