TODAY IS PENTECOST SUNDAY WHEN PASCHALTIDE COMES TO AN END. NEXT SUNDAY IS TRINITY SUNDAY AND THE END OF THE PERIOD FOR FULFILMENT OF EASTER DUTIES.
ABBA’S VINEYARD: Adoration night. Come and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, with the theme of Our Lady. Opportunity for confession, mass and dinner. All are welcome to join at any point. DISTANCE ADOPTION PROJECT: A few weeks ago Fr. Leszek and the Young Men of St. Joseph made a trip to Zambia to visit a school run by the Salesian Fathers, who support children and young people from poor families. They took out stationary items, tee shirts, shorts and sport tops, which were gratefully received. They also raised over £6,000. I am sure most of you would have seen the display of photos at the back of the church, taken during their trip. They now have a project for adopting a child in Zambia which requires a commitment of £150 annually. There are leaflets available at the back of the church with more details. NIGHTFEVER: Friday 29 May 2026 7-10.30 p.m. 'Come and see! (John 1,46)
Nightfever is back at St Aloysius’ Church Friday 29 May 7 - 10.30 p.m. On Night Fever evening the doors of St Aloysius Church, Garnethill are wide open and young people and young adults invite passers-by around Sauchiehall Street to come into the church, light a candle, listen to the music, read a Bible passage, receive a blessing, take up the offer to talk to a priest or celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Compline & Benediction 10 p.m.
