WEEKLY BULLETIN – 30th AUGUST 2026– (22nd SUNDAY OF THE YEAR)
FIRST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH – EXPOSITION OF BLESSED SACRAMENT. This Thursday, 3rd September there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from after 10am Mass. We are asked to come and pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.
FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH: There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 6pm on Friday 4th September until 5pm on Saturday 5th September. Church will remain open during this time for visits.
TUESDAY 1st September is World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. Please offer up prayers or even try and come to Mass at 10am.
ASSISTED DYING BILL: Thank you to everyone who signed letters to our MP. The Second Reading of the revised Bill is on 11th September. Please offer up prayers that the right decision is reached. Thank you once again.
SPECIAL COLLECTION IN SUPPORT FOR THE WORK OF SPRED The annual special collection for SPRED is on the weekend of 12/13 September. All involved with SPRED wish to thank parishes for their generosity last year. SPRED has been working with families and schools, preparing young people for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. WALK THE CROSS SCOTLAND – walk one kilometre for every year that Jesus lived: Carfin Grotto to St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow. 26th – 27th September. Saturday 26th - Meet at Carfin for 9:30am Adoration and 10am Mass. After refreshments we will walk to Uddingston Train Station. Sunday 28th – Meet at Uddingston Train Station at 8:30am for a 9am start. Walk to St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, finishing with the Divine Mercy Chaplet before Mass at 3:00pm.
