Help Sought (BCOS Commission for Marriage, Family & Life): If you have been safely recruited and have a PVG certificate for a ministry in the Catholic Church, would you please be able to give up a Saturday (25th October 2025) to help with children's activities at an all-day National Family Conference in St. Bride's, Motherwell? Eighty families from around Scotland are being invited to attend and if, on average, they have 3 children each, that's at least a possible 240 children requiring supervision. An information evening about this event is on Wednesday 24th September at 7pm in the Diocesan Offices, Paisley. Should you know of other possible 'volunteers', please pass on this plea.

Newman Association: Rerum novarum revisited: Society and labour in an age of AI - A talk by Anna Blackman: The Parish Hall, Immaculate Conception Church, 2049 Maryhill Road, Glasgow, G20 0AA at 7.30pm on Thursday 2nd October 2025 . All welcome. Refreshments provided.

Recovery and Spiritual Healing: There will be an ecumenical service focusing on recovery and Spiritual healing for anyone who has been caught up in alcohol or drug addiction. We welcome those who are in recovery, those still afflicted by addiction and family members who support those who are suffering. This will take place at 3pm on Sunday 12thOctober in St Augustine’s Church Hall, 393 Ashgill Road, Glasgow, G22 7HN. The service will be led by Rev Laurent Vernet and Rev Paul McAlinden and there will be testimony from people in recovery as well as those who support them. We look forward to welcoming you and there will be tea/coffee and cake at the end of the service. For anyone using public transport, the number 75 bus from Castlemilk, which passes through the city centre has a stop just outside St Augustine’s Church.
