WEEKLY BULLETIN - 16th AUGUST 2026 – (20th SUNDAY OF THE YEAR)

TODAY  WE CELEBRATE THE SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE  BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.

SPECIAL COLLECTION:  THE SECOND COLLECTION TODAY WILL BE TAKEN UP FOR ASSISTED PARISHES.  PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY.

PRO-LIFE MASS: The monthly Pro-Life Mass will take place on Wednesday, 19th August at 7.30pm at Holy Cross, 113 Dixon Ave, G42 8ER. Adoration begins at 6.15pm. Tea in the hall afterwards – all welcome. The celebrant will be Fr. Edward Toner

VOCATIONS MASS : You are invited to the annual Vocations Mass on the 24th of August at 7pm. The Mass will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, Glasgow, G1 4JY. It is an opportunity to join as a diocesan community and pray for all vocations. There will be refreshments afterwards in Eyre Hall.  Everyone welcome.

NATIONAL YOUTH PILGRIMAGE 2026 | Saturday 26th September | S1–35: Join the Youth Office and young people from across Scotland on a pilgrimage to Pluscarden Abbey. Discover more about the lives of monks and nuns and other religious,  and conclude the day with Vigil Mass. Return coach from St Andrew's Cathedral (£20). 7am–10pm. ASSISTED DYING BILL:  A member of CAAD will give a talk at the end of Mass today.  There are letters to our Member of Parliament at the back of the back of the church.  If you have time please take time to sign one of these letters which will then be sent direct to our MP.  If not they will be available next Sunday also.  Thank You.
